A new Border Check Point was opened in the cross-border area Romania-Bulgaria

On December 17, 2018, in Dobromir, Constanta County, in the presence of representatives of the Romanian and Bulgarian Border Police, of the Coast Guard and the Regional Border Police Directorate of Ruse, of the local public authorities from Romania and Bulgaria, as well as of the representatives of the Cross Border Cooperation Regional Office Calarasi for the Romania-Bulgaria border, there was officially opened the Border Check Point Dobromir (Romania) - Krushari (Bulgaria).

The new border point, which joins the 10 road crossing points open to international traffic, as well as to the international goods traffic at the border of Romania with Bulgaria, was achieved by implementing the project "Dobromir - Krushari cross-border road", Cod MIS ETC: 588, financed under the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Romania-Bulgaria 2007-2013. The operationalization of this international border point is a favorable measure for facilitating the access to the transport infrastructure in the cross-border area as well as for facilitating the mobility of goods and people.
The crossing point is subordinated to the Coast Guard and is open to road traffic up to a total weight of 3.5 tonnes and the working hours will be from 08:00 to 20:00. Through this border point, the transport of hazardous materials, live animals and products subject to phytosanitary control is not allowed.
We mention that from 3rd of October 2017 is also functioning the border check point Lipnita-Kainardja, realized through implementation of the project "Lipnita-Kainardja cross-border road", MIS ETC Code: 579, also financed under the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Romania-Bulgaria 2007-2013. Like the Dobromir-Krushari check point, it is subordinated to the Coast Guard and is open to international transport of passengers and goods, for vehicles up to the limit of 3.5 tonnes and with the working programme from 08:00 to 20:00.
