Do you want to find more on how to involve citizens in your initiatives?

If you are a Managing Authority, a public authority or institution or an NGO and you plan to organise a citizens’ participation process within your programme, initiative or project, the Citizen Participation Checklist for Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme may be an useful inspiring tool for you in designing your citizens’ participation process.

The Checklist was developed by the OECD experts in cooperation with the Managing Authority of the Interreg V-A Romania Bulgaria Programme in the context of a co-operation pilot project with DG REGIO to foster citizens’ participation in cohesion policy.
The document helps programme managers and beneficiaries to identify when citizen participation is useful, which are the steps to follow in the designing of the process, how to ensure quality and follow-up of the process. It also describes a variety of different methods and tools that can be used depending on the purpose and the context of citizens’ involvement process as well as a step-by-step guide on implementing a quality public consultation process.
For more details, please consult the Citizen Participation Checklist here.
